The Friends of Lower Fort Garry is a non-profit charitable organization, dedicated to supporting Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site through independent and collaborative partnerships while nurturing positive relationships with the community.
Our mission is to bring new energy and flavour to one of Canada’s historic treasures. The Friends of Lower Fort Garry offers a diverse mix of cultural and educational entertainment and activities, such as:
- An on-site Gift Shop
- A historically themed children’s summer Day Camp
- Events such as Fright at the Fort, music festivals, the Lower Fort Garry Tavern, yoga retreats, workshops, and much more!
We are looking for fun energetic people to staff positions from May to September. Weekends and possible evenings too.

Do you like to explore outside and take part in fun adventures? Students aged 15 – 18 are invited to apply to volunteer for various weeks of the summer (two week minimum requirement).
